Message of Encouragement East Japan Great Earthquake Tsunami

We hope this message finds you and all those you care for and love are safe and well during these stilll difficult and challenging times that Japan, and inparticluar the people and communities of Miyagi, Fukushima and Iwate Prefectures, have been facing and going through the process of recovery since the Great East Japan Earthquakes and Tsunami of the 11th of March 2011.

Setting a warm and welcoming tone at this year's aannual Mini Expo at the Canadian Embassy, Ambassador Jonathan T. Fried addressed the vendors and visitors, and in a thoughtful and sensitive address to all the guests and vendors present, he emphasized that this Expo also aims to aid the onoging recovery post disasters efforts, and that by bringing everyone together in this way, to share resources and information, we would be able to motivate and thus bring about positive change. We at Tokyo Counseling Services share the sentiments expressed by Ambassador Fried.

We extend our deepest sympathy and encouragement to the people of Tohoku who have endured so much and continue to strive to move forward through this difficult time for the Tohoku region and the nation as a whole.

Tokyo Counseling Services Team Reflections of the Event

For Yuko san “It was first time to join the Mini-Expo by Canadian embassy. There were so many attractive booths, massage, yukata workshop, cakes, and etc…! I really enjoyed spending time there and inspired by other unique participants. Also, it was great opportunity for Tokyo Counseling Services to introduce us".

Rei “felt proud to be able to be part of a gathering of people with many skills and talents. It is such a great chance for everyone in the community to be able to gain something new, something refreshing that allows you to delve in things that spark your curiosity and create, develop, and rekindle friendships at the same time. Needless to say, it opened my eyes to the thriving communities in Japan first hand, and I can’t wait to be a part of it again”.
